Who is QualityWriter? We want to help you do great things and stand out in the crowd.
QualityWriter is a 13-year-old marketing writing firm that's evolved into a Web marketing/direct response/Adwords/SEO firm via a partnership with McBuzz Communications. QualityWriter was started by Phil Dunn (that's me - upper right). I'm primarily a business writer, but my focus runs a little deeper than that.
Fundamentally, I'm interested in persuading, convincing, and educating via the written and spoken word. To me, that's marketing. There are a million ways to do it, but that's the general idea.
I want to help you communicate with customers – whoever they may be. I've helped people communicate with internal customers (employees), external partners, consumers, and business-to-business targets. The formats cover a wide range, too -- Web content, case studies/success stories, direct mail, brochures, newsletters, white papers, sales guides, press releases, data sheets, scripts.. all kinds of collateral, some hard sell, some soft, some purely educational or technically instructional.
I've been honing my craft for more than 10 years with repeat customers that include Oracle, Hyperion Solutions, Computer Associates, Pitney Bowes, Toshiba Medical, SGI, Software AG and many others. I also do quite a bit of work for small businesses. I enjoy the thrill of putting together a marketing piece that puts a small company on the map, and I really like working with small biz entrepreneurs.
As you can tell, my specialty is technology -- both high-tech and medical. You could say I “turn complex subjects into everyday benefits” (my tagline).
If you're a marketing manager, my goals are similar to yours. I want to produce compelling marketing pieces that get you noticed in your organization and get your products and services sold in their targeted markets.

I've
written a couple of fictional novels, Hot Synapse and Nerve
Castle. I like to travel when I can. Taiwan, Hong Kong, Spain, England,
Australia (all over), Mexico (all over), the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador
and Peru are some of the places I've had the pleasure and fortune to visit.
There are quite a few places in the USA which I've thoroughly enjoyed,
as well.
For
recreation, I surf, play ice hockey, and play tennis. This
is all after I've completed my work and nailed every deadline, of course.
